the tenth Muse
the tenth Muse a person or thing considered to be a source of inspiration comparable to one of the mythological Muses, especially in a particular field; the term is recorded from the early 17th century, in one of Shakespeare's Sonnets, and was used in 1650 by the poet Anne Bradstreet (1612–72) in the title of her collection of poems.
