Sword of the Spirit

Sword of the Spirit

Sword of the Spirit. A RC social movement inaugurated by Card. A. Hinsley in 1940. Its aims were supported by the Abps. of Canterbury and York and the Moderator of the Free Churches, but the initial collaboration between RCs and other groups was restricted in 1941. In 1965 it became the Catholic Institute for International Relations.
