It was founded as a ski resort in 1936 by W. In 1964 it was sold to a land-development corporation; in 1967, Bill Janss, a former Olympic skier, became sole owner. The Hemingway Memorial, on a bluff overlooking a swift-flowing trout stream, was dedicated in 1966. |
