Sturmabteilung
Sturmabteilung SA a Nazi paramilitary organization created by Adolf Hitler and destroyed in June 1934 to end the embarrassing conduct and political intrigues of its leaders. Also known as the “Brownshirts,” the SA was largely manned by thugs and was used by Hitler and the Nazi Party to control the streets during the struggle for power in Weimar Germany.
