Storm Jameson
Storm Jameson (Margaret Storm Jameson), 1891–1986, English novelist and critic, b. Whitby, Yorkshire, grad. Leeds Univ., 1912. Descended from a shipbuilding family, she drew on her knowledge of that business for her first three novels, a family chronicle trilogy reprinted as The Triumph of Time (1932). Most of her novels treat ethical and moral problems. Among them are Cousin Honoré (1940), The White Crow (1968), and There Will Be a Short Interval (1973).

Jameson, (Margaret) Storm
Jameson, (Margaret) Storm (1891–1986), novelist; her first novel, The Pot Boils (1919), was followed by many other works of fiction, including Women Against Men (1933, stories), Company Parade (1934), Love in Winter (1935), and None turn Back (1936), the last three forming a trilogy. She also published poems, essays, and biographies, and several volumes of autobiography, including Journey from the North (1969), describing her time during the Second World War as president of Pen.
