Reed, Sir Carol

Reed, Sir Carol (1906–76) English film director. He won an Academy Award for Oliver (1968). Other films include Penny Paradise (1938), The Fallen Idol (1948), The Third Man (1949), Trapeze (1956), and The Agony and Ecstasy (1965).
