Serra
Serra. The name of four Spanish painters, brothers, who seem to have been the dominant figures in painting in Barcelona in the second half of the 14th century. Little is known about them as individuals and they probably collaborated on some works. Their style was influenced by Sienese painting, probably via the papal court at Avignon. Jaime and Pedro are the most distinct personalities (documented works survive by both of them); Francisco and Juan are very obscure.
