Salim
Salim John the Baptist the Baptist moved from Bethany (John 1: 28) to Aenon near Salim (John 3: 23), a place difficult to locate but a reasonable suggestion puts it in Samaria. The assertion, ‘much water there’, implies that it was away from the River Jordan. Jesus is said to remain in Judaea—a period of his ministry unrecorded in the synoptic gospels.
