Rotherham
Rotherham , city (1991 pop. 122,374) and metropolitan district, N England, at the confluence of the Don and Rother rivers. Situated in a principal coal district, the city manufactures steel, brass, clothing, electrical equipment, chemicals, glass, and beer. On an old bridge over the Don is a 15th-century chapel. Technical and art colleges are located in Rotherham. |
