Roseburg
Roseburg city (1990 pop. 17,032), seat of Douglas co., SW Oreg.; inc. 1872. It has an important lumbering industry and handles the diversified produce of nearby cattle ranches and fruit orchards. Other local industries produce soft drinks, uniforms, lumber, veneer, asphalt, electronic connectors, dairy products, and wine. Tourism is also important; Roseburg is the headquarters for Umpqua National Forest, and the area is known for its hunting and fishing. |

Roseburg, Oregon/USA Deer Creek Settled in 1851 and renamed in 1854 after Aaron Rose, one of the first settlers, who laid out the town.
