Red Brigades

Red Brigades A grouping of Italian leftwing terrorists especially active in the period 1977–81. The security forces seemed powerless against them, although some arrests were eventually made. The Red Brigades were responsible for a number of incidents including the kidnapping and murder of the Italian statesman Aldo MORO in 1978.
