Prince of the United Kingdom William

William, Prince

William, Prince (b. 1982). Elder son of Charles, prince of Wales, and Princess Diana, and second in line to the throne, William was educated initially at Wetherby preparatory school and at Ludgrove, where in 1991 he accidentally sustained a fractured skull. Eton, then a gap year, preceded further studies at St Andrews University, immediately prior to which he commenced royal duties. The earlier public acrimony between his parents led to suggestions that Prince Charles should step aside in favour of his son, but this is most unlikely. A tall, personable young man, with a striking resemblance to his mother, he is already attracting the media attention that pursued her.
