Posy
Posy ♀ Pet form (originally a nursery version) of Josephine. It has also been associated with the vocabulary word posy ‘bunch of flowers’ (originally a collection of verses, from poesy ‘poetry’). It is occasionally used as an independent given name, fitting into the series of names associated with flowers that arose in the 19th century.
