Pisidia
Pisidia , ancient country of S Asia Minor, S of Phrygia and N of Pamphylia. It was a mountainous country, traversed by the Taurus range. Its warlike tribes maintained their independence until the country was incorporated into a Roman province in the early 1st cent. AD |

Pisidia
Pisidia Southern area of Asia Minor and in NT times part of the Roman province of Galatia. Its principal city was Antioch, where there was a Jewish population. Paul and Barnabas travelled in the area and met a hostile reception (Acts 13: 14–51; 14: 24).
