Pisidia

Pisidia , ancient country of S Asia Minor, S of Phrygia and N of Pamphylia. It was a mountainous country, traversed by the Taurus range. Its warlike tribes maintained their independence until the country was incorporated into a Roman province in the early 1st cent. AD

Pisidia

Pisidia Southern area of Asia Minor and in NT times part of the Roman province of Galatia. Its principal city was Antioch, where there was a Jewish population. Paul and Barnabas travelled in the area and met a hostile reception (Acts 13: 14–51; 14: 24).
