Philip the Arabian
Philip the Arabian (d. 249), Roman Emperor from 244. He celebrated the millennium of Rome's foundation in 248 with pomp and the customary religious observance. This fact, and his coins, tell against the tradition that he was a Christian. He seems to have tolerated Christianity.
