orlistat
orlistat (or-lis-tat) n. a drug that reduces the absorption of fat in the stomach and small intestine by inhibiting the action of pancreatic lipases. It is administered by mouth to treat clinical obesity, in conjunction with dietary control; side-effects include the production of copious oily stools and flatulence. Trade name: Xenical.
