Nurhachi

Nurhachi

Nurhachi (1559–1626) Organizer and creator of the Qing state, which later ruled China. He welded related tribes into a powerful unit, creating the Manchu military banner organization for control and mobilization. Among other innovations, he introduced a writing system for administrative purposes.
