Millville
Millville, Canada, USA USA (New Jersey): the first settlement was constructed by woodcutters along the banks of the Maurice River in the 1700s and called Shingle Landing. It was later renamed Maurice River Bridge and then The Bridge. It was finally renamed ‘Mill Town’ in recognition of the mills in the area.

Millville city (1990 pop. 25,992), Cumberland co., S N.J., on the Maurice River, in a poultry, fruit, and truck-farm area; settled 1756, inc. 1866. The principal industries include aircraft engine repair and the production of glass, tools, canned seafood, and machinery. |
