Seuphor, Michel (b Antwerp, 10 Mar. 1901; d Paris, 12 Feb. 1999). Belgian-born painter, printmaker, writer, and editor who became a French citizen in 1954. In 1925 he settled in Paris, where he was one of the founders of the Cercle et Carré association of abstract artists in 1929 and editor of its journal.
