1. The best-known of several OT persons of this name was a prophet in Ahab's court (1 Kgs. 22) who advised against a battle to wrest Ramoth-Gilead from the Aramaeans. 2. A friend of Jeremiah who heard the prophet's oracles being read aloud by Baruch (Jer. 36: 11–13). |
