Mazatlán

Mazatlán, Sinaloa/Mexico Pueblo de los Mulatos, San Juan Bautista de Mazatlá Named by the Spanish ‘Place of the Deer’ in Nahuatl. The first name meant ‘Nation of the Mulattos’, that is, people of mixed (black and white) parentage from the Spanish pueblo ‘nation’ or ‘people’.
