MTB
MTB stood for Motor Torpedo Boat, a 21 m. (70 ft.) British Coastal Forces high speed craft armed with two torpedo tubes and small-calibre guns. It was the equivalent of the German E-boat and the US PT-boat. Its primary purpose was to attack Axis shipping, but its speed made it suitable for other roles, including air-sea rescue and clandestine operations. See also warships.
