Lytham St Anne's

Lytham St Anne's, England/UK Lidun Lytham and St Anne's were merged in 1922. The former name means ‘(Place at) the Slopes’ from the plural of the Old English hlith ‘slope’. The parish church, dedicated to St Anne, gave the second part of the name.

Lytham Saint Anne's , town (1991 pop. 39,707), Lancashire, NW England, on the north shore of the Ribble estuary. It is a seaside resort. Lytham Saint Anne's was founded in the 12th cent. by Benedictine monks.
