Lyndon
Lyndon ♂ English: transferred use of the surname, derived from Lyndon, a place in the former county of Rutland (now part of Leicestershire), so called from Old English lind ‘linden, lime tree’ + dūn ‘hill’. Its modern use as a male given name owes something to the American president Lyndon Baines Johnson (1908–73).
Variant: Lynden, Lindon. |
