lymphoid tissue
lymphoid tissue (lim-foid) n. a tissue responsible for the production of lymphocytes and antibodies. It occurs in the form of the lymph nodes, tonsils, thymus, and spleen, and also as diffuse groups of cells. See also immune (system).

lymphoid tissue
lymphoid tissue The type of tissue found in the lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and thymus. It is responsible for producing lymphocytes and therefore contributes to the body's defence against infection.
