laughter
laughter There is not much in the Bible in praise of laughter as an expression of pleasure and paradox; Ps. 126: 2 is one of the rare instances. However, there are those who laugh at others' misfortune (Job 30: 1), as well as those who laugh their way self-confidently through disasters (Job 5: 22), and the adversaries laugh at Jerusalem in her downfall (Lam. 1: 7). But at least there is a promise of laughter in the kingdom of God (Luke 6: 21).
