Lambeth Quadrilateral
Lambeth Quadrilateral, sometimes called the ‘Chicago-Lambeth Quadrilateral’. Four Articles approved by the Lambeth Conference of 1888 as stating the essentials for a reunited Church. They were based on Articles agreed by the General Convention of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America in Chicago in 1886. They deal with the Bible, the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds, Baptism and the Eucharist, and the episcopate.
