Kuṇḍalinī
Kuṇḍalinī (Skt.). Śakti (power) envisaged as a coiled snake at the base of the central channel (suṣumnā nāḍī) in the mūlādhāra cakra of Tantric esoteric anatomy. Kuṇḍalinī yoga is a means of attaining samādhi and finally liberation in Tantric sādhana. She is aroused by the arrest of breath and semen through prāṇayāma and mantra repetition (japa). Kuṇḍalinī yoga is used by contemporary religious sects such as the 3HO and the Rajneesh movement.
