Kidron

Kidron

Kidron A valley which runs from the eastern boundary of Jerusalem to the Dead Sea, across which David fled when his son Absalom tried to seize the kingdom from him (2 Sam. 15: 23). Pagan objects of worship were destroyed in the valley by kings loyal to Yahweh—Asa, Hezekiah, and Josiah. Jesus and the eleven disciples crossed the Kidron valley after the Lord's Supper (John 18: 1).
