Jehoiachin
Jehoiachin , in the Bible, king of Judah. He was king for a few months (c.598 BC) after the death of his father, Jehoiakim . He and his court were carried away into exile by Nebuchadnezzar to Babylon and imprisoned. On the death of Nebuchadnezzar he was freed and given honorable treatment. |

Jehoiachin
Jehoiachin Also called Coniah (Jer. 22: 24); he began to reign over Judah at the age of 18 in 597 BCE and soon afterwards surrendered to the babylonians (2 Kgs. 24: 12) but in 561 BCE had his status in captivity raised (2 Kgs. 25: 27–30; Jer. 52: 31–4) and his fortunes reversed.
