Lara, Isidore de (Cohen)
Lara, Isidore de (Cohen) (b London, 1858; d Paris, 1935). Eng. composer and pianist. Comp. several operas perf. at CG, Monte Carlo, Paris, and NY Met, incl. The Light of Asia (1892), Amy Robsart (1893), Messaline (1899), Nail (1910), The Three Musketeers (1920). Wrote many songs and organized concerts of new chamber works.
