Iron Cross

Iron Cross

Iron Cross German military decoration awarded for valor or exceptionally meritorious service. Awarded in several degrees (Grand Cross, Knight's Cross, Knight's Cross with Diamonds, etc.), the Iron Cross was established by the King Frederick William III of Prussia in 1813 but was discontinued after World War II.
