Industrial Park
Industrial Park. Area planned as an estate for industrial use, e.g. Trafford Park, Manchester (late C19). In the mid-C20, industrial estates were established on the outskirts of many towns, especially for light industry and advanced technology uses, allowing for landscaping between buildings. The amount of land so used has been phenomenal.
