Hylas
Hylas , in Greek mythology, beautiful youth. He was a favorite companion of Hercules. While on the expedition of the Argonauts, Hylas was dragged into a spring by water nymphs enchanted by his beauty and was never found. |

Hylas in Greek mythology, a king's son taken as his companion on the expedition of the Argonauts by Hercules; he was drowned when a water-nymph who had fallen in love with him drew him into her fountain.
