Humpty-Dumpty

Humpty-Dumpty the egg-like nursery-rhyme character who fell off a wall and could not be put together again; the rhyme was originally a riddle to which the answer was ‘egg’, and is recorded from the first half of the 19th century. Humpty-Dumpty is a character in Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass (1872).
