humerus Bone in the human upper arm, extending from the scapula (shoulder blade) to the elbow. A depression on the posterior, roughened lower end of the humerus provides the point of articulation for the ulna bone of the forearm.

humerus (hew-mer-ŭs) n. the bone of the upper arm. The head of the humerus articulates with the scapula at the shoulder joint. At the lower end of the shaft the trochlea articulates with the ulna and part of the radius.
