Herodias

Herodias Granddaughter of Herod the Great and sister of Herod Agrippa I. Married (1) to half-uncle Herod, son of

Mariamne II, third wife of Herod the Great (Mark 6: 17 calling him Philip is a mistake), by whom she had Salome (who did marry Philip); (2) to another half-uncle, Antipas, for which she was condemned by John the Baptist. Hence her call (Mark 6: 17–29) for his execution.
