Herodians

Herodians

Herodians In Mark 12: 13 and Matt. 22: 16 some Herodians join with Pharisees in putting to Jesus a difficult question about the payment of tribute money. The Herodians are presumably supporters of Herod Antipas but their common front with the Pharisees is surprising in that Herod the Great regarded Pharisees as his principal opponents and there is no reason to suppose that his son was any less hostile.
