Harley

Harley ♂, ♀ Transferred use of the surname, in origin a local name from places in Shropshire and West Yorkshire, so called from Old English hær ‘rock, heap of stones’ or hara ‘hare’ + lēah ‘wood, clearing’. Among bikers it has been used with the Harley Davidson motorcycle in mind.
