Hanging Gardens of Babylon
Hanging Gardens of Babylon One of the Seven Wonders of the World. The gardens are thought to have been spectacular, rising in a series of terraces (rather than hanging) and ingeniously irrigated by water pumped up from the Euphrates. They were probably built (c.600 bc) by Nebuchadnezzar II. Nothing now remains of them.
