Greyhound racing

greyhound racing

greyhound racing as an organized sport developed in the USA, though greyhounds had been bred and raced for centuries. The sport owed its appeal to the oval course, which makes for tactical running, and to betting. The National Greyhound Racing Club was established in 1928.
