Gifts

gifts

gifts In the OT, gifts to God take the form of sacrifices, but there are also gifts which are bribes (Prov. 18: 16) or wedding presents (Ps. 45: 12). In the NT gifts are mentioned as required at the Temple (Matt. 5: 23) but there is also an emphasis on the gifts of God to mankind (e.g. Rom. 5: 17; cf. Jas. 1: 17).
