PHRASES: garbage in, garbage out (abbr.: GIGO) used to express the idea that in computing and other spheres, incorrect or poor quality input will always produce faulty output. |

garbage Information in a memory that is no longer valid or wanted. It is usually the result of memory compaction operations. The removal of this superfluous information from the memory is known as garbage collection and is usually associated with memory compaction.
