Fort Leonard Wood
Fort Leonard Wood a fort named for Maj. Gen. Leonard Wood (Army Chief of Staff, 1910–1914) and located near Waynesville, Missouri. It was established in 1941 and today serves as the home of the U.S. Army Maneuver Support Center and School, responsible for training chemical, engineer, and military police specialists for all of the armed services. Some 13,500 military and 3,400 civilian personnel work on the 64,735-acre installation.
