Foça
Foça, Turkey. Phocaea An ancient Ionian city which may take its name from Phocus, the colony's leader. In Greek mythology, he appeared to his father in the form of a seal (in Greek, phóke), hence his name. It may be, however, that the place gets its name from the large number of seals that used to be found here.
