Finistère

Finistère [Fr., land's end]. Department of the far west of Brittany containing the largest population of Breton speakers; known as the diocese of Quimper and Léon in ecclesiastical records and in many folk-tales. Also noted for its prevalence of megalithic monuments, especially dolmens (or portal-tombs).
