Eva Braun

Eva Braun , 1912-45, mistress and later wife of the German dictator Adolf Hitler. She was a shop assistant to a Nazi photographer, through whom she met Hitler. She entered his household in 1936, although their relationship was kept secret. She had no influence on the government. Hitler married her in the last days of his life, and she joined him in suicide.

Braun, Eva

Braun, Eva (1912–45),daughter of a schoolteacher who became Hitler's mistress in 1932. He married her on 29 April 1945 in the Führerbunker where she had voluntarily gone to share his fate. She took poison the next day and her body was burnt.

Braun, Eva (1912–45) Mistress of Adolf Hitler. She met Hitler in the early 1930s, and they lived together for the rest of their lives. On April 29, 1945, Braun and Hitler married in Berlin. The next day, the couple committed suicide.
