Eutychus
Eutychus A young man who dropped asleep during a long sermon by Paul and fell from an upstairs window. Paul was able to assure the company that he was not fatally injured. The readers of Acts may have seen the story as a sign of Christ's power to give eternal life; the communion (which then followed the incident) was the means by which believers were drawn from death to life (Acts 20: 7–12).
