Elliot
Elliot ♂ Transferred use of the surname, itself derived from a medieval (Norman French) masculine given name. This was a diminutive of Elie, the Old French version of Elias. It is borne by the American actor Elliott Gould (b. 1938 as Elliot Goldstein), and has been fairly popular since the latter half of the 20th century.
