dugong

du·gong / ˈdoōgäng; -gông/ • n. (pl. same or dugongs ) an aquatic mammal (Dugong dugon, family Dugongidae) found on the coasts of the Indian Ocean from eastern Africa to northern Australia. It is distinguished from the manatees by its forked tail.

dugong (sea cow) Large plant-eating aquatic mammal found in shallow coastal waters of Africa, Asia, and Australia. Grey and hairless, the dugong has no hind legs, and its forelegs are weak flippers. Length: 2.5–4m (8–13ft); weight: 270kg (600lb). Family Dugongidae.
